The charitable work is represented and supported internationally by Gwalior Children’s Charity (GCC) registered in the United Kingdom

Snehalaya is the name given to the care campus from which all Help Children of India services are run

Snehalaya - the home with love

Snehalaya is a multi-disciplinary campus based near Gwalior City, Madhya Pradesh, India.

It has 3 areas of focus.

  1. Special Needs facility and Orphanage where nearly 60 rural, poor and disabled Orphans, most of whom have suffered neglect and abuse live with carers inside cottages, play and learn.
  2. The education and empowerment of rural girls through Snehalaya School
  3. Rural health programme supporting poor, rural and marginalised communities.

Structure

Help Children of India is the operational name used to help identify our main activities and to help with marketing and awareness. Snehalaya, which means the home with love in Hindi, is the project name of the multi-disciplinary care campus from which all our services are run for our beneficiaries. Snehalaya is run by Gwalior Hospital & Education Charitable Trust. It receives international support from Gwalior Children’s Charity.
GHECT is responsible for executing the majority of development projects including Snehalaya Care Campus on which resides a special needs school, girls school and from which rural medical programmes are run.
